Bio:

David has been playing guitar for years. His music inspirations have been Pink Floyd, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Benevento/Russo Duo, Radiohead, Tool, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, Static-X, Rob Zombie, Primus, Sade, System of a Down, PJ Harvey, Red Hot Chili Peppers and all songwriters that have the courage to burn bright with the truth. He is into his pets, tennis, cinematography, Midwest stormy weather, rain, clouds, the Rocky Mountains, all analog guitar gear, Reeves tube guitar amplifiers, Fender Stratocaster guitars, old school analog tape recording techniques and we might as well throw in any early Pink Floyd recordings. He wrote and recorded a solo ambient instrumental album in 2005. He also has been the founder and creative force for his own band Reflective Beta since then and up to meeting Alice Sweet Alice. He is now primed and ready to be joining forces with Alice Sweet Alice. To him it is so rewarding to work with talented musicians and he has found that in Alice Sweet Alice for sure. He writes his truth and has found kindred spirits here. All that is left now is basic world domination!

ASA's newest album "Live! in Kansas City" is from our performance at Korruption here at the West Bottoms, Kansas City, Missouri.  We are releasing 5 songs from this performance to keep the album short and sweet, and are hoping lots of people get the chance to pick it up.

Yes, it's true.  We figured, we worked SO hard on our album, it's most important for us for people to hear it and fall in love with it as we have.

So, as of now, we are offering both of our albums, and future albums for free digital downloads.  The quality isn't as good as the physical CD, and of course you don't get the really cool artwork, but it's better than nothing!

We only ask that downloaders SEVERELY EXPLOIT and give it away to as many music lovers as possible!!!  We just want lots of people to know about ASA and come to our shows when we play at a theater near you!!!!

With the addition of our newest member ALAN HICKS on guitars, ASA's new lineup is close to COMPLETE!!!

ALAN HICKS is a cohort of BILLY BROWN's from way back, and Billy brought him to practice for a tryout.  ALAN's obvious experience and technical ability, along with his spot-on interpretations of ASA's existing material earned him a spot in our lineup!

ASA is extremely pleased to announce our newest member, Billy Brown into ASA's family.

Billy is a very talented, hard-hitting and hard working drummer and we are priviledged to bring him on board. He's also a REALLY great guy, and we hit it off right away.

3 weeks ago, he came by and tried out, and we pretty much felt right with him into about 3 songs. The others we tried were dismal in comparison, so it was a "no brainer" for us. Billy admitted he was nervous when he left and couldn't sleep; and for the past few weeks was very paranoid about every drummer friend of his that said they were trying out for a band!!!

So, if you have a moment, please visit our Myspace site and comment a welcome message to Billy.

This is great news for ASA fans!!! That means we'll be playing at a venue near you all the sooner!!!
